Miller Kombat

During Cleveland’s World Series run in 2016, pitcher Andrew Miller was absolutely on fire and instrumental in our success. He was a fierce closing pitcher that our manager would call on to finish games. In the video game Mortal Kombat, opponents battle until one is one the verge of death and the announcer proclaims “FINISH HIM!” allowing the winning character to deploy one final blow. I saw this as a perfect parallel, when I created this parody, imagining Miller as the fire-wielding character, Scorpion.
